DICE has announced they will implement their own store front inside Bad Company 2 probably something like Mass Effect 2 ‘s Cerberus Network.

“We see the game as the first step to a longer experience,” said Patrick Bach, senior producer for Bad Company 2. “We have an in-game store where you get free content or you can buy new content to the game, so it’s a very integral part of the game that we will have a long post-launch campaign. I think people will be thrilled to see what’s in that already. On day one, you will get some really cool stuff.”

Mass Effect 2 gets more DLC tomorrow

BioWare has announced that their next round of downloadable content for Mass Effect 2 is slated to hit the Cerberus network tomorrow, on February 9 for PC and Xbox 360 users. The DLC will bring all our Shepards a new Cerberus Assault Armor, giving you a +10 to heavy weapon ammo capacity, shields, health, and the M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun.

UK charts: Mass Effect 2 maintains number one spot

Despite a 65 percent drop in sales, Mass Effect 2 has maintained its number one spot in the UK charts.

The BioWare RPG held off Ubisoft’s Just Dance into second and Modern Warfare 2 at third.

Dante’s Inferno dropped in and took the number four spot.

More free Mass Effect 2 DLC in a few weeks

BioWare is preparing another batch of free Mass Effect 2 content for launch “in a couple weeks,”as teased in a tweet. Though no other details were offered. The pack might include new missions, a Hammerhead hover tank vehicle, and the M-22 Eviscerator Shotgun.

PS3 code found buried within Mass Effect 2

Rumors of Mass Effect coming to the PlayStation 3 have been revived thanks to some new source code dug out of the PC version of Mass Effect 2. According to Polish site Kikoo, the code suggests that a PS3 version of the game exists.

Mass Effect 2 debuts at the top of UK charts

BioWare’s Mass Effect 2 has overtaken the crown from Just Dance in last week’s UK sales charts. The sci-fi epic was released on Friday, meaning it managed to topple the dance-o-rama title with just two days worth of sales.

Modern Warfare 2 saw a 3 percent drop in sales and dropped to third place while the second newcomer for the week, MAG, debuts at number four.

Mass Effect 2 Cerberus Network, first DLC announced

Downloadable content for Mass Effect 2 will be distributed through The Cerberus Network, an in-game “portal” that will offer news on upcoming content as well as the content itself, BioWare announced today. The Network is activated with a code included in all new retail and digital copies of the game; those who buy the game used will have to pay a one time fee to gain access.

The DLC will be offering up new in-game items and missions, among them one that introduces Zaeed the DLC will become available on January 26, the day ME2 launches in North America.

Mass Effect 2 day-one DLC will be free

A tweet from BioWare’s twitter account says “BioWare will not be charging extra for any new Mass Effect 2 content on launch day.” While that could mean allot of things you wont be pending more than $60 on Mass Effect 2 day one.

The tweet goes on to say that more details would arrive this week.

BioWare is planning on launching Mass Effect 2’s with downloadable content on the day the game is released or shortly thereafter, Norweigan paper DagBlaget reports. Apparently items like armor, weapons, and even a new planet will be available.
