    Infinity Ward has seen the departure of two more senior staff members today, according to Kotaku . Lead animator Mark Grigsby and lead character animator John Paul Messerly have updated their LinkedIn profiles indicating that they are no longer with the COD developer.     Former Infinity Ward heads Vince Zampella and Jason West are bringing a lawsuit against Activision for breach of contract and other claims, after Activision terminated their employment on March 1.     The first Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content will arrive in April, a source  has told CVG. Activision hasn’t yet commented on the matter. There's no word yet on what Modern Warfare players should expect in the first DLC pack. Infinity Ward's  Robert Bowling just last month saying he “can’t comment on what to expect yet.”... more.
  • Modern Warfare 2 ‘care package’ patch submitted to Microsoft certification

    Considering the Xbox 360 version sold the most copy's of Modern Warfare 2, it comes as a bit of a shock to us that the "care package patch" has already released on PS3 and PC and is just now being submitted to Microsoft for certification.  Infinity Ward's community man Robert Bowling also seems surprised by the late patch saying "Not too much longer before it's a thing of the past." ... more.

    According to destructoid industry sources, Infinity Ward's new game will be an MMO. We've gotten word that IW is hiring people from Sony Online Entertainment, one of which may be the lead designer of EverQuest II, and that a member of Blizzard employees may also be involved to help Infinity Ward get this new title off the ground.     Infinity Ward’s community manager Robert Bowling has delivered news, via his Twitter account, that another update has gone live for the PlayStation 3 version of Modern Warfare 2, which includes “the Akimbo 1887s re-balancing,Prestige hack fix, & fix for Public “private” Match.” The Xbox 360 version will be getting the same patch soon.... more.

    Responding to a fan asking about mod tools for the game via his Twitter account, Infinity Ward Community Manager Robert Bowling said, "there may be some Mod Tools news coming in the future, I'll pass it along once I have it."
