This afternoon Major Nelson revealed that Battlefield 1943 is the Deal of the Week, now available for 800 space bucks instead of its usual 1200. It’s not a bad deal, especially if your looking to play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and dont wont to to play the demo anymore.

Bad Company 2 demo downloaded 2 million times

Both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo got over two million downloads in its first five days of availability, EA has announced, and is well on its way towards becoming the fastest downloaded demo in the company’s history.

Both the demo and beta are coming to an end on February 25.

Bad Company 2 gets day one DLC

DICE has announced they will implement their own store front inside Bad Company 2 probably something like Mass Effect 2 ‘s Cerberus Network.

“We see the game as the first step to a longer experience,” said Patrick Bach, senior producer for Bad Company 2. “We have an in-game store where you get free content or you can buy new content to the game, so it’s a very integral part of the game that we will have a long post-launch campaign. I think people will be thrilled to see what’s in that already. On day one, you will get some really cool stuff.”

ESRB rating description reveals WWII mission in BFBC2

The ESRB has rated Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and in the ratings description, it notes that at one point the player is fighting in World War II.

In single-player mode, players conduct missions on an unnamed Japanese island during World War II and then move into the modern day through jungles, deserts, and snowy terrain.

This was to be expected seeing that the Thompson and M1 Garand are weapons available for online play in Bad Company 2.

BFBC2 drops in March.

EA and DICE are including usable in game content to go with every pre-order of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Limited Edition. Bundled with the game will be upgrades such as armor, firepower and motion sensors, Tommy sub-machine gun, the always dependable M1911 hand gun and even a tracer gun.

The first details and glimpse into the single-player campaign of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has arrived. Revealed in last night’s episode of GTTV, the game is said to put the player back into the shoes of Private Preston Marlowe as they traverse the world in search of a Russian weapon system.

Bad Company 2 demo in early February?

According to GAME a UK retailer, the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo will become available early next month, on February 4. The retailer says access to the demo will last for three weeks and that it’ll arrive on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, with no mention of a PC version.

Bad Company 2 PC beta details confirmed

DICE has confirmed the previously rumored January 28 start for Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s PC beta, also offering up a few additional details. The beta includes the snowy Port Valdez which allows for both infantry and vehicle play, and allows players to try out the Rush game mode.

Pre-ordering the game from either EA’s own online store or GameStop are the only sure bets at the moment. Other retailers will be participating as well.

The beta will end on February 25, a week before the launch of the game in March.

Concluding its streak of daily deals during the holiday season, the Xbox Live version of Battlefield 1943 will be on sale for 50% off, tomorrow. EA’s official Battlefield 1943 Twitter account revealed that the New Years Eve sale would drop the price to $7.50 , for one day only.
