Microsoft has announced Game Room, a customizable retro games area that will available on both Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live. The service will launch with 30 games this Spring with weekly releases to follow, all of which can be purchased in one of three ways 40 Microsoft Points for a single playtime, 240 MS Points for a platform-specific buy , and 400 MS Points for a cross-platform buy.... more. -

Treyarch’s next Call of Duty set for November

According to a "senior UK trade source" who spoke with CVG“It’s going to be November again - just as with World At War and Modern Warfare 2,” the source told CVG. “Activision believes that it can own Christmas again, just as it has in the last two years. With Sony launching their new PlayStation 3 motion controls this year, they’ll probably want to use a few of their bigger franchises to make the peripheral more appealing to the consumer. One game that will not be joining that line-up however is Uncharted 3. Sony PlayStation 3 sales exceed 3.8 million over the holidays

On the heels of its CES 2010 keynote speech, Sony released a press release declaring worldwide sales "exceeding 3.8 million" of the PlayStation 3 during the 2009 holiday season. According to the company, "during the five weeks following the last week of November 2009" , the console sold more than during any previous holiday season and had a 76 percent increase over last year's numbers.... more. -

Capcom announced today that a demo for its upcoming Dark Void, will be available this week on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The demo, which promises "a combination of thrilling aerial dog-fighting, unique vertical cover action and on-foot combat," will be released Wednesday, January 6 on Xbox Live Marketplace and Thursday, January 7 on PSN.... more.
