Continuing the trend of many games releasing in the past few years, Ubisoft has decided to release a special limited edition of Far Cry 3.
Called the “Insane Edition” for its wealth of special items, Ubisoft is upping the ante in terms of single-player goodness. For an as-yet-undisclosed amount extra, you can get: a bobble head of the main villain, two single-player missions adding approximately 2 hours of gameplay, a mini-strategy guide, a hunting rifle, dagger, tattoos, and several other items for both single and multi-player. It is currently only scheduled for a European release but odds are good it will see the light of day in America as well.
As of now, Far Cry 3 is still scheduled for release on September 4th, 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

The PC version of Max Payne 3 is now set to launch on June 1. According to Rockstar’s Jennifer Kolbe, production and logistical issues are the reasons for the three-day delay.
“Our community has always preferred a single worldwide launch date, and while we couldn’t make it happen for the console versions, we decided to work toward a global release for Max Payne 3 on PC. Due to production and logistical issues we could not bring the European launch forward, so we worked with US retail to align with the original European launch window and set a new global release date of June 1.”
During a recent earnings call, Take-Two mentioned that the console versions of the game have managed to sell three million units so far.
Max Payne 3 launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 last week.

Capcom has been host for a lot of outrage recently from fans. Between the fighting game show fiasco and the evidence that all the DLC they are releasing is on the disc for Street Fighter X Tekken, the developer just cannot catch a break. Sadly the troubles continue with word that the release date for the reboot of Devil May Cry (DmC) has slipped into January of next year.
As it stands at the moment, DmC will be releasing on January 15th, 2013 on the Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC version of the game is in the works as well but the release date is listed only as “2013.” So take heart fans as the game is still in development and only just delayed. Check out E3 for more information from Capcom about the game.

The devs reworked the complex war declaration system, making all wars public affairs, with war voyeurs now able to see at a glance how the war is progressing between two alliances or corporations. A new mercenary marketplace was also introduced, allowing third-party gangs of space thugs to sell their services to various combatants.
A new unified inventory also made the patch notes, attempting to ease the process of sorting through player assets – as the shear volume of data in EVE can often lead to a mini-game of Space Spreadsheets.
CCP released the following trailer:
Inferno comes on the heels of large-scale player events such as “Burn Jita” – an attempt to wreck the player-driven economy by assaulting the busiest trade hub in the EVE universe.

Gearbox software CEO Randy Pitchford announced on the company’s website today that Aliens: Colonial Marines, which had been slated for a Autumn 2012 release, will now be expected in the first quarter of 2013. Private Hudsons of the world, commence whining.
We’ve always prioritized the goals we had for the game over any particular launch window. The game’s development has been invigorating and natural relative to our experience making games and the objectives for it. Because the game was “announced” with that original press release, it might feel, to those of you who have been waiting for the game since then, that it has been in development a long time. In fact, with the release date now set, it turns out that the total development time we have spent creating Aliens: Colonial Marines is about the same length of time as we had spent creating the original Borderlands or the original Brothers in Arms – both games that we had waited to announce until we were much farther along in the development process.
If you have had that feeling that you’ve been waiting a long time, then today should be a good day for you! We have an official, solid launch date for the game! We’re now at a point in development when we can see the end – we know what’s left to do and can sufficiently quantify it to be very confident in the schedule for the game’s completion and commercial release!
Along with that pep talk, we also got a treat in the form of more gameplay video!

If you’re reading this then there is a good chance you have played at some point the truly twitch based shooters such as Doom, Rise of the Triad, and myriad others. If you loved those games but have been craving something similar on your console then fear not! Serious Sam Double D XXL and Serious Sam 3 are coming to an Xbox Live Arcade near you.
Serious Sam Double D is a 2D side-scroller in the fashion of old arcade games like Contra while Serious Sam 3 is a first person shooter more in the vein of Doom. This means you are going to have constant enemies coming towards you with barely a free second to breathe between shots! Double D is even including twice the action by adding second-player co-op to the mix. Serious Sam 3 is not including anything new except for its frenetic action which is something that is rare in single-player shooters these days.
Expect the action to hit your Xbox this fall.
