The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition Review

The Witcher 2 never really captured me. It’s a great game that deserves your attention if you like RPGs, deep stories, sex and violence, political deception, mysteries, and a relatively good combat system. If you like Skyrim, Dark Souls, Bioshock, or Fable, then you’ll very likely enjoy this game, but I must ask you to take heed that something about it - some indefinable factor - kept me from ... more. -
Super Mario 3D Land Review

Mario has been a very popular video game character since making his appearance in Super Marios Bros. on the NES when it was released back in 1985. The gameplay, graphics and audio were impressive and the game remains a classic even now. Not only did he single-handedly save the video game industry but he also revolutionized it in the process. Our wacky little plumber would enjoy success with ... more. -

I was and still am a huge fan of classic arcade games. I have fond memories of playing games such as, Centipede, Space Invaders, Mike Tyson’s Punchout and Mortal Kombat to name a few. One classic arcade game that always stuck in my head was Dig Dug which was published by Namco in 1982. The game was released for many consoles over the years such as, the Atari 2600, Atari 7800, the Colecovisio... more. -
NFL Blitz PS3 Review

I have always been a fan of arcade style sports games with titles such as NFL Blitz, NHL Hitz, MLB Slugfest and NBA Jam. Recently I got the chance to play an updated HD version of the classic NFL Blitz. The original game was developed by Midway and became a huge success on the arcades and would eventually be released on home consoles with a few missteps along the way. EA Tiburon would ... more. -

Have you ever played through a game, and felt unsatisfied? As if you spent all of this time playing a game, only to be left feeling like you accomplished nothing too substantial in the end? Videogames these days have become easier and more approachable. I remember playing Perfect Dark on the N64 back in the day, and you actually had to think and use your resources deliberately to make it to the en... more. -

The Call of Duty franchise has seen great success over the years especially since Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare when it was released back in 2007. Since the series shifted to modern times the games have immersed players with their adrenaline filled campaigns, amazing set pieces and addictive online multiplayer. The formula hasn't changed since then but it hasn't had to because that's what has ma... more. -

Your favorite Covenant-killing space marine is back! This new and remastered John 117 is better than ever, and he's ready to revisit one of his greatest achievements. Most you that will be buying this game probably already know this iconic story-line, but for those of you who haven't, I will go over it. At the end Halo:Reach, Noble 6 saved Cortana and the Pillar of Autumn, so at the beginning of... more. -
Battlefield 3 Review

It’s a bit challenging to review a game that suffers from such the dichotomy that Battlefield 3 suffers. Set in the near-future of 2014, the campaign plot is terribly cliché, involving the repeated formula of Russians, terrorism, impossibly bad-ass protagonists, and somehow always being the center of the action in a widespread conflict. The multiplayer, however, is one of the deepest, most sa... more. -

There have been many successful fighting game franchises over years such as Street Fighter, Tekken, Virtua Fighter and Soul Caliber. However, there was one fighting game that managed to stand out from the rest. That game was called Mortal Kombat and it was released by Midway in 1992 and was created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. It was originally available for the arcades and later found itself on ... more. -
Batman: Arkham City Review

Arguably the most anticipated game of the year is here, and it's not playing around! Batman: Arkham City is set one year after the events of Arkham Asylum. To catch you up briefly, Joker was beefed up with titan and thwarted by the dark knight once again. Quincy Sharp has since been elected mayor and has sectioned off part of Gotham to house the most dangerous criminals, aptly named: Arkham City... more.
