Called the “Insane Edition” for its wealth of special items, Ubisoft is upping the ante in terms of single-player goodness. For an as-yet-undisclosed amount extra, you can get: a bobble head of the main villain, two single-player missions adding approximately 2 hours of gameplay, a mini-strategy guide, a hunting rifle, dagger, tattoos, and several other items for both single and multi-player. It is currently only scheduled for a European release but odds are good it will see the light of day in America as well.

As of now, Far Cry 3 is still scheduled for release on September 4th, 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Lost Planet 3 is the upcoming Spark Unlimited developed prequel to 2010′s Lost Planet 2. Lost Planet 3 follows Jim, a utility rig pilot who leaves Earth to take job on E.D.N. III.

“Our community has always preferred a single worldwide launch date, and while we couldn’t make it happen for the console versions, we decided to work toward a global release for Max Payne 3 on PC. Due to production and logistical issues we could not bring the European launch forward, so we worked with US retail to align with the original European launch window and set a new global release date of June 1.”

During a recent earnings call, Take-Two mentioned that the console versions of the game have managed to sell three million units so far.

As it stands at the moment, DmC will be releasing on January 15th, 2013 on the Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC version of the game is in the works as well but the release date is listed only as “2013.” So take heart fans as the game is still in development and only just delayed. We’ve always prioritized the goals we had for the game over any particular launch window. The game’s development has been invigorating and natural relative to our experience making games and the objectives for it. Because the game was “announced” with that original press release, it might feel, to those of you who have been waiting for the game since then, that it has been in development a long time. In fact, with the release date now set, it turns out that the total development time we have spent creating Aliens: Colonial Marines is about the same length of time as we had spent creating the original Borderlands or the original Brothers in Arms – both games that we had waited to announce until we were much farther along in the development process.

If you have had that feeling that you’ve been waiting a long time, then today should be a good day for you! We have an official, solid launch date for the game! We’re now at a point in development when we can see the end – we know what’s left to do and can sufficiently quantify it to be very confident in the schedule for the game’s completion and commercial release!

1. Don’t use Internet Explorer:

While Firefox and Chrome have both been gaining ground, Internet explorer is still the leading browser with around 50% of the browser market. Being popular means Internet Explorer is constantly being targeted by the bad guys, and as Mac users can attest, you’re safer by avoiding the software that bad guys target.

Go download chrome. It has around 18% of the browser market and regularly beats IE in hacking competitions.

2. Stop Downloading Everything you come across:

For the love of god, stop downloading everything someone (read: your mother) sends you via email. If you’re even slightly suspicious about a file, make sure both the file size and type make sense (There is virtually no reason that  funny video of a cat jumping through a hoop should be a 300 kb .exe file.). And if your still not sure, scanning the file with something like VirusTotal  can help.

3. Use an Anti-virus program:

I prefer Microsoft Security Essentials  for my PC and Lookout for my various android devices, but there are tons of options to choose from that suit your particular AV needs.

 4. Learn to spot  Fake Download / Play Buttons:

If you’ve ever visited a torrent site, you have most likely seen these ads. They attempt to get you to download malicious software by getting people to click the wrong download button. Usually, the styling or placement of the ad gives it away, but if that doesn’t tip you off, hovering over the button should give you an idea if it’s an internal link or malicious ad.

5. Stay up to date:

As Apple has recently learned, staying up to date is important part of not having malware issues. So, if you’re looking to avoid a major headache, remember to update your OS and software to the latest versions. A tool like
