A Kinect-less Xbox One will launch on June 9 for $399, Microsoft announced today.
According to Xbox boss Phil Spencer, the stripped down package will be available in “in all markets where Xbox One is sold.”
The $499 package that includes the Kinect will still be sold for its regular price. Those that opt to buy the Kinect-less Xbox One will have the option of picking up the standalone camera when it is released this fall.
In other news, Microsoft announced that in June they will finally be dropping the Xbox Live pay wall for using entertainment apps like Netflix and Hulu. The expansion of Microsoft’s Games with Gold to the Xbox One is also set to begin next month.
