Amy Hennig joins Visceral Games as Star Wars creative director

amy-hennig-visceraljpgFormer Uncharted series creative director Amy Hennig has joined Visceral Games to be creative director of a new Star Wars project.

“I vividly remember sitting in a theater with my buddy Matthew Rockloff in 1976, seeing the Star Wars trailer for the first time,” Hennig said in a tweet.

Visceral VP Steve Papoutsis chimed in with the following statement in the company’s official announcement post:

“Over the last few weeks, Amy and I have spent a lot of time talking about what her first project would be. There are a lot of different directions we could have gone, but I could sense that what really excited her about this opportunity (because let’s face it, we weren’t the only ones knocking at her door) was Star Wars. Amy’s a huge fan. We happen to be making a Star Wars game.”

While she is mostly know for her work on the Uncharted series, Hennig started her carresr in the games industry at EA as a game designer/artist in 1991.
