Mincraft, Mojang’s record breaking block builder, will be available for PlayStation 3 starting tomorrow, December 17. Vita and PS4 versions launch in 2014.
According to the post from Mojang’s Owen Hill, Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition will launch with “everything present in other console versions,” and is “pretty much identical to play.”4J studios, the studio behind the Xbox 360 port, is expected to develop the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions in tandem from now on.
The post also mentions that the PS3 version will see previously released skins and texture packs “soon”, with console exclusive downloadable content being possible. More importantly, when asked whether or not the game would feature remote play support, Hill said “We don’t know yet, sorry. We’ll let you know as soon as we do.”
Mojang announced that they would bring Minecraft to Sony’s line of consoles during E3 earlier this year.
