Ubisoft has announced that they plan to drop their controversial Uplay Passport program from all future games. This means gamers will no longer be required to enter a single-use code to access a game’s single and/or multiplayer content.
In the statement on the their official blog, Ubisoft’s Gary Steinman said:
“Gamers currently without a Uplay Passport for Black Flag will be able to download one for free from Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. For those who have already purchased Uplay Passport for Black Flag, please contact your regional Ubisoft support. What’s more, Uplay Passport will not be a part of any future Ubisoft games.”
Thank the lord!
