PS3 firmware 4.50 will expand the reach of the automatic download feature to all PSN users, Sony has announced. Previously, the extremely useful automatic download feature was exclusive to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Auto download of system software updates has been expanded to support all PlayStation Network users.
Auto download support of purchases made on the Web Store will be made available to all PlayStation Network users.
New options for trophy privacy settings allow users to set which trophies are visible.
Data can now be transferred from PlayStation 3 to PS Vita using Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection.
The firmware update is expected to go live in the United States later today.
