Activision announced that Beenox is developing The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, and 3DS at New York Comic-Con over the weekend.
Taking an “alternative take” on the events of the movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game is said to give gamers more of what they loved in the first game. That means more abilities, more upgrades, more challenges, and more freedom to progress.
To help incentivize the lazy bastards (like myself) who ignored the random people in need of help, a “Hero of Menace” system has been introduced. The new mechanic will reward heroic behavior while punishing turning a blind eye to crime.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is expected to launch alongside the Andrew Garfield-starring film next spring. The debut trailer can be found below.
