Microsoft has made a complete about-face on their Xbox One DRM features. Being lifted by a day one patch, the Xbox One’s much lambasted game restrictions are a thing of the past
To clarify, your console won’t check for an internet connection every 24 hours, and, probably because of videos like this, used game will work the same way they do on the Xbox 360.
Alongside announcing that they are backing away from the cliff, Microsoft also said that Xbox One games will have no regional restrictions.
I’m guessing the pre-order numbers finally did it for them. Remember, kids: voting with your dollars works…occasionally.
