Two months after pushing the former Wii U exclusive to an early September release, Ubisoft has announced that Rayman Legends will launch for Wii U, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in late August.
Now due out August 27th in North America and August 30th in the EU for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, Rayman Legends was initially set to come out exclusively on the Wii U in February. Wanting to make it a multi-platform title Ubisoft pushed it back 6 months. While frustrating for Wii U owners, the delay resulted in 30 new levels and several new bosses being added to the game.
To make up for the fact that they delayed the game to make it a multi platform release, Ubisoft has made the Rayman Legends: Challenges App available for free on the Wii U eShop.
While Ubisoft has yet to confirm or deny it existence, a PS Vita version is also rumored to hit shelves in late August.
