Cyberpunk 2077, the role-playing game being made by CD Projekt Red based on the pen-and-paper game, now officially has a multiplayer component added to it. CD Projekt Red had announced last year that they were looking for a multiplayer engineer and at the time it was assumed that it was going to be for the Witcher sequel which had been announced.
Since there is no defined “hero” in Cyberpunk 2077, unlike where you play as Geralt in the Witcher, it is much more suited for multiplayer interactions. Other than the announcement of its inclusion, there are really no further details being given at this point. The tidbit was dropped in an interview with “Eurogamer” where CD Projekt Red Managing Director Adam Badowski said, “It will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs, but we’re going to add multiplayer features.”
Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled currently for a 2015 release.
