Battlefield 4 Announced For This Fall, 17-Minute Trailer

A day after a few screenshots and a trailer leaked, EA and DICE have officially unveiled Battlefield 4 at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The Frostbite 3 engine-powered follow-up to 2011’s Battlefield 3 debuts on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox 360 this fall.

The “genre-defining action blockbuster’s” first trailer, titled “Fishing in Baku”, sees main character, Recker, waking up in a sinking truck with three other soldiers. After one of the soldiers hands Recker a gun and tells him to shoot out the window, the trailer flashes back 13 minutes to give a look at how the squad ended up in such a precarious situation.
