As the Year of Gaming Comes to a Close.....

Most of the games that will come out this year have been released. We’ve taken the roles of detectives in “L.A. Noire”, as well as “Batman: Arkham City”. In “inFamous 2″, we took control of electricity and showed the Beast what we were made of. We revisited the campaign of the decade with “Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary”, and we were saddened by Dom’s untimely death in “Gears of War 3″. We finally finished off Makarov in “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3″ and returned to our old FPS friend in “Battlefield 3″. We also found a new friends in “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” and “The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword”.

I could go on forever and still wouldn’t get through all of the amazing games that came out this year. We’ve spent a ton of money on games this year, and surely will with Christmas on the horizon. But we can’t underestimate the year ahead of us, with games such as “Bioshock: Infinite” and “Metal Gear Solid:Rising”. In 2012, you will be able to continue the “Diablo” series with “Diablo 3″, and continue Commander Sheppard’s journey in “Mass Effect 3″. Let’s not forget about one of the biggest shooters in gaming history’s new trilogy, and it’s first installment, “Halo 4″.

There aren’t only going to be a smorgasbord of great games next year, but the release of the new handheld system of the “Playstation Vita” by Sony. The Wii U will also be available for purchase in the holiday season of 2012. Oh yeah and the (rumored) announcements of two new consoles, code names: Xbox 720, Playstation 4. Obviously the 720 will be the sequel to the 360 as the PS4 the sequel to the PS3.
