Activision has announced that they have no future plans for their long running Guitar Hero franchise.
This news is not unexpected as the music genre has been in decline for a while now and it is no secret that the recent Guitar Hero games been poorly received both critically and commercially.
Guitar Hero was not the only series to get the axe as Activision has also cancelled their upcoming open world game True crime: Hong Kong citing issues with the quality of the game.
The company say that these cancellations will allow them to focus their efforts on other properties, mainly the Call of Duty brand and Blizzard’s online games.
