Hulu’s just-announced $9.99 a month Hulu Plus service, available now on PC, iPhone, and other devices, will be available on PlayStation 3 systems in July. It’ll launch on Xbox 360 sometime in early 2011. You can request an invitation to an early preview here.
No details have been released yet on if the service will also be ad-supported but we’re assuming that will be a deal breaker for most.
On Hulu plus coming to the Xbox360 in 2011 Major Nelson has said:
“We’re working hard on creating customized experience for Xbox LIVE members, which means that Hulu Plus will be coming to Xbox 360 in early 2011,” said Hyrb. “We are taking the time to ensure that the Hulu Plus experience for Xbox 360 is the best on TV, and like our other entertainment experiences, it will not be a port, but rather a custom experience that leverages the Xbox LIVE community features.”
