Ubisoft’s servers went down over the weekend “due to attackers,” meaning the  controversial DRM could not connect which in turn rendered the PC version of Assassin’s Creed II unplayable for many of their clients.

“Apologies to anyone who couldn’t play ACII or SH5 yesterday. Servers were attacked which limited service from 2:30pm to 9pm Paris time,” the company said.
