PSN premium plans unveiled

psnlogo PSN premium plans unveiledA survey from IPSOS Online Research has been sent out, gauging interest  in premium subscriptions to PSN.

Sony’s spreadsheet shows four different plans  three for $9.99 a month and one for $4.99 a month. Each subscription comes with different perks, including free access to PSOne classics and PSP Minis, and an hour’s free access to each PSN game, streaming Netflix without a disk and special Hulu support, as well as free access to premium themes. One of the subscription benefits listed is cross-game voice chat, a feature that Sony has been bashed for not delivering on.

It seems as if they simply want to gauge customer reaction to the various plans and features.

[Update] Sony-”The service, as it currently is, will remain free. What has been said a few weeks ago is the ability to expand services with special features. But there is no news about the said subscription service and it is too early to tell any more about it.”

Not gonna pay for it. haven’t played any PSN games and I still got PSone classics on disc to use. Free PSN 4 life!
